Last night our New Friends group got together and celebrated Valentine's Day. Little did I know, when I was invited to the first get together with these women, how much my life would be enriched by making these new friends. I think each one of us feels a connection to each woman in our group in a special and unique way. It feels like we have been friends a long time. Everyone is so giving...we all came away with several valentines!

I happen to love traveling, planning travel, taking pictures while traveling, making videos of our travel, etc., etc. These women make me feel so good because they are always excited to see my video creations from all the pictures we take on trips. So I shared with them one from this past October when my husband and I traveled with my parents back East to see the fall colors. One of our stops was New York city. My dad, a retired fire fighter, had made a connection over the Internet with a retired fire fighter in New York. This fellow took us on a fantastic tour that included several fire stations and the fire boat. Much to my delight, the pictures reflected the sheer joy my dad was feeling that day. What great memories!

Certainly, my dad had an instant connection with this fellow because of their similar backgrounds - much the same as how I connected with my new group of friends on that first night. So now he has a new friend...and having my new girlfriends...I know just how great that makes him feel! So don't hesitate to sign up on the NFLL Network and start making some new friends.
