Almost all of the correspondence used within the NFLL has our logo printed somewhere on the document. Many people have asked me to explain just what our logo represents. In actuality the logo is the story of our group of friends. First of course we are women – represented by the outline of a womans face. We are gathered together as friends so we face the future together – thus the logo has two faces looking toward each other. The semi circle joining the two faces indicates our willingness to stay together and be supportive of each other even in difficult and trying times. There are three strands of hair on each of the heads – thus making 6 individual hairs which represents the 6 women of the NFLL original group. Our name appears in the middle of the faces finishing off the logo. And so you have it – the NFLL NETWORK logo.
Logos help to make us an identifiable entity without the words. Once accepted and viewed as truthful a logo is an easy way to communicate who we are and what we do. Our original group strives to live up to all the great stuff our logo represents about us.
We gather together at least monthly to refresh our friendships and to plan activities for the future. We listen to each other and share each others burdens as best we can.
Of course logos don’t mean much unless they are backed by an organization that wishes to provide the best in service and caring to its participants. We do that by offering an endless opportunity to connect to people within your neighborhood or around the country. As our network begins to grow we seek ways to make computer networking easier for women who have limited computer skills. We are offering a more user friendly opening page to our website and animated computer instructions to help women navigate our system. Even the most challenged woman should be able to connect and find someone using our system of directions and applications. We already have a number of articles posted to the site. Our blog is beginning to grow and we will soon be welcoming a page for feedback and interaction with the network founders. This however is just the beginning for us and for you once you have signed on to the NFLL Network.
Now is the time to make friends - so - don’t delay – sign up for the NFLL Network today and have a friend by tomorrow.
