A recent article on WebMD was sent to me by my daughter and while the results of the testing aren’t surprising they do indicate what most of us know already. Activities that stimulate the mind will do wonders for your longevity and will help prevent memory loss. Sitting in front of the TV seems to do nothing to help you maintain your mental sharpness or your physical stamina. Involving oneself in friendships and social activities is the breath of life for all women. We need each other. Having a ‘girlfriend’ to share your life with is essential to good health and mental well being. Just take a look around and you will notice that those of us who have social outlets seem much happier than those who don’t. Yet not every woman is in a position to develop relationships given various life circumstances. Some women live in remote areas, some women cannot get out of their homes, some have no time to meet with other women to develop those much needed connections. But there is a way to connect and begin friendships over the internet. Try the NFLL Network and see what can happen. There are women all over the country that are waiting to meet you and get to know you. You may find someone right around the block who needs a connection with a woman just like you!
